We're just looking for an expression of interest right now and someone to make a prospective design, as some people have said they'd probably buy one if it had a good design.

So... start thinking about people.

PAnZuRiEL EDIT: We've settled on black for the body colour, with a contrasting design in white, and have had a look at three or four places that can print them for us. Right now the price per item looks like it'll be in the $20-$30 range.

Sometime within the next 2 weeks, the home page and the forum may be down cause I'm hoping to get it all upgraded to a more secure and ultimately better version.

Since there wasn't an ad in The Rat for our last AGM, and apparently this is essential for our reaffiliation, there is a new AGM scheduled during the marathon this Saturday, at 1pm in PW 217, where we will be re-electing the committee.

The (semi-)permanent time for meetings has been set at Monday nights, 10:00pm. Anyone who wants to observe should visit the IRC chatroom at that time.

LUNASY now has its own IRC domain at #lunasy@irc.rizon.net! Committee meetings for 2010 will be held there regularly at a day and time yet to be decided, and the general public is welcome to observe and participate (or to simply fill the chatroom in between meetings).

If you're not familiar with IRC, that's fine too -- as you can see, the website now has an inbuilt IRC client accessible from the navigation menu, with which you can easily join the room with your preferred display name. Those of you with names registered on rizon.net can of course sign in with them.

AGM 2010 (Tuesday 23rd February 2010 - 22:13)[ Joshy-San ]
The Annual General Meeting has been confirmed for Saturday 6th March @ 12 noon. The AGM will be held on Simpson Lawn @ La Trobe Bundoora.

How does this work?
A good question sir / madam / your excellency. There are numerous positions available for members to sign up. These positions are part of the LUNASY Committee
The position will be announced by the current president (myself) and a member of the AGM meeting will nominate another person to run for that positon. He / she accepts or declines nomination. If nomination is seconded by another and the nomination is accepted, then the position can be challenged by another wanting to run for that position (in which case speeches are given and a vote commences). If no challenge is made, the nominee becomes the <title> of the club for 2010. If a challenge is made and seconded, the person to get the position is voted in by the majority of winning votes in their name

What positions are available and what do they do?
Another excellent question young one. The positions for 2010 are as follows:

Note: ALL POSITIONS are to assist in bringing forward ideas and to help in running events, as well as their primary tasks.

President - The President is the big cheese, that assists in running everything related to the club and is the one that brings most of the ideas to the table. A signature on the bank account

Secretary - The Secretary's primary objective is to document all meetings.

Treasurer - The Treasurer is the keeper of the club funds.

Publicist - The Publicist is the one to maintain current sponsorships, as well as promote ALL events around the campus and elsewhere if need be.

Librarian / Screening Director - Commands the anime that is to be screened throughout the semester, both weekly screenings and for marathons.

Web Administrator - The website / forum maintenance person. Need knowledge in HTML plus forum structures and administration.

LUNASY Library Storage (Saturday 7th June 2008 - 23:56)Sargeras
We now have a filing cabinet of our own to store the anime library in!

It was obtained for free from the furniture waste store on Friday. None of the filing cabinets come with keys, but I found one where the key had been broken off in the lock. I managed to pry it out, and I think we can get a new one cut from it.

All we need is to clean the cabinet and get the new key cut, and we're in business!

A special thanks to Mike(dragoneyez) as well as Nathan Mackie for helping me haul the cabinet across campus.

Borrowing from the library is expected to start at the beginning of semester 2. I hope to use the holidays to construct a library database, and will discuss the finer points of borrowing with El-Presidente.
